The client gave an idea of what he wanted and I went through the first design phase, at first sticking close to what the client wanted because he had a clear vision. After presenting the first design phase, the client wasn’t sure about what I proposed. So, for the second design phase I went with a wider variety of designs. He was happy with two of the designs and couldn’t decide between the two. I was close with the client so I decided to create both of the designs, one as the paid commission and the other as a gift. He asked for a few tweaks to the designs he chose, I made a more refined version of each, then showed them to him to approve before I continued on, and with their approval I sent him the completed designs.
