About Grace Riley
3D Animator - Designer - Producer
I graduated with a BA of Digital Arts and Sciences from the University of Florida Digital Worlds Institute with a specialization in 3D animation and game design.
As a student I was dedicated to encouraging the success of the students around me. I founded the BADAS Mentorship Program at the Digital Worlds Institute, which quickly grew to over 60 members that I build resources and curriculum for, tailored to the need of each mentee and the skills of each mentor. I had the connections I needed to create the program due to my experience of being a Digital Worlds Ambassador. I represented the Institute at UF events, worked with faculty to assist in hosting Digital Worlds events, and hosted information sessions for prospective students and families. I was able to provide those prospective students with my unique perspective as a course assistant as well as a student. I was a course assistant for 3 different courses under 2 professors, teaching students, hosting office hours, and providing individualized support and feedback to students. It was all of these involvements that gave me the honor of being awarded the Director’s Award in 2023.
My involvement also expanded beyond my fellow creatives as I was President of the Florida Fencing Club, the largest collegiate fencing club in Florida with 50+ active members. I oversaw all club operations like budgeting, physicals training, national travel logistics, fostering a positive club environment, and ensuring the safety of all members.
The unique skills I learned through my commitment beyond being a student are what allow me to create the 3D animation work that I do today. I will continue to push and challenge myself as I continue on my creative journey.
